Waterloo Warbirds Airshow Postponed

BRESLAU, ON – Members of the management team for the Waterloo Warbirds Air Show 2020 have met to discuss the impact of the current crisis on the Waterloo Warbirds Air Show, scheduled for June 26-27, 2020.

In speaking with the various stakeholders involved in making such a decision, the impacts of the evolving depth of this global crisis cannot ensure a safe community event. As a result, the air show is postponed.

Derek Hammond, President of the Waterloo Warbirds, shared, ‘As excited as the team is for the opportunity to deliver an aviation event in June 2020, the well-being of our performers, suppliers, volunteers, spectators, and stakeholders is the top priority.’  Derek continued, ‘When the time is right, we will get our organizing team back to the planning table.’

Waterloo Warbirds extend our sincere appreciation to all of you who were primed to join us for this inaugural airshow. This is a disappointing decision. However, as we work through the ramifications of this postponement, our priority continues to be the health and safety of our community during this unprecedented time.

In looking at the larger picture, we extend good thoughts to all being impacted significantly by the unprecedented situation we’re experiencing. Collectively, let’s work through this crisis supporting each other with kindness and consideration.
