2024 Remembrance Day Flyovers
Throughout Canada’s military history, hundreds of thousands of Canadians have volunteered to serve their country in conflicts and peacekeeping missions around the world. Many have paid the ultimate sacrifice. On Remembrance Day, we honour their memory and service, and also pay tribute to those currently serving Canada at home and abroad.
On Monday, November 11, we will take to the skies to honour Canada’s veterans, active service members, and their families and friends. Our T-33 Silver Star and MiG-15 will fly over cenotaphs, cemeteries and ceremonies in Waterloo Region, Stratford, and surrounding communities. Our North American Harvard Mk. II B will fly over sites in Hespeler and Guelph. All three aircraft will be taking off from the Region of Waterloo International Airport shortly after 10:00 AM.
More information on the flight will be shared on Waterloo Warbirds’ social media channels (@waterloowarbirds on Facebook and Instagram, and @waterloowarbird on X) as Remembrance Day approaches.
